FAQ's
What is the difference between a nanny and a maid?
A nanny is a professional who has received training to care for a child in their own home whereas a maid is a domestic worker.
Can one do one do the trainings whilst also holding another job? Will class times be flexible?
The Nanny and the Childcare providers Training Programs are intense formal classes conducted in the same ways as any other tertiary learning institution. It is important to fully dedicate oneself for the there-month training duration in order to pass the examinations. Being absent for more than one class without a justifiable acceptable reason is grounds for removal from the program.
The exception is the Parents and Guardians Training program.
Can I do any of the trainings online?
All training can be done online. However, The Nanny and Childcare providers Online Training Programs are currently only available to Lusaka resident trainees. This is due to the fact that trainees have to be supervised by their Educators during Practical sessions. This component of the training is easier to do for Lusaka-based trainees.
What qualifications are given for undertaking any of the training programs?
Upon passing the examinations for the Nanny and Childcare Providers Training, one is awarded a certificate. Once receives a Certificate of Attendance for undertaking the Parents and Guardians Training Program.
Is there any other institution in Zambia offering these trainings?
Gala Nanny Training & Hiring Agency Limited has initiated and brought into being the training programs for childcare providers in Zambia. Hence, no other institution in Zambia is offering these types of trainings.
Can I use the qualification I earn from your training programs anywhere around the world?
Yes. The knowledge that is imparted through our training programs is based on sound scientific knowledge which is always being revised as now scientific research presents new information. On this basis, all our modules, with respective content, meet international standards for the knowledge requirements of childcare providers. The certification one gets is a good base for one start and advance their career in the childcare service industry.
